Only if the phone has been "unlocked". Meaning it will take the sim card from any company.

The only way you can use the same sim card on a different company phone is if you have a phone like mine thats called an unlocked phone. That means that you can use the phone on any network in the world. Thats a good thing to have if you move and you don't want to go throught switching phones. Otherwise if the phone is not unlocked the answer is no.

No.
The sim card identifies you and the phone and the phone number to the company when the phone is turned on.
This is how you cut down on cloning of phones.
They are not interchangable.
If you do this, and you turn the phone on. The phone company will see that the make and model of the phone is different than the one on file. The phone company computer will then void the sim card so that it cant be used, even if you put it back in the original phone.

no because each sim card contains very specific personal information that only can be change for the same company but you also check with the different company by making a call.

As long as the phones use the same SIM card, you are set. I took my cingular SIm and put it in my friends Verizon RAZR and it worked fine, and had my number and everything. Please realize, it means that I still had cingular and my number, just with a different phone.
