i was never that "close" to him, but secretly i admired him. he came from icredible poverty in a 3rd world country and was a scholar--had a full ride @ Purdue & MIT. he never forgot his roots ans helped the rest of his siblings go thru college. he was a domineering, overbearing man who struggled w/his fiercely independent daughter. six years ago, he died of a massive heart attack--that wkend i was going to anounce my pregnancy. he would have been overjoyed. My 5 year old daughter has traits of her grandpa. i often wonder if my father can see her & often cry and think how foolish i was in my youth to engage in battle that really don't mean much to me anymore. I want to say,"look fatherr, here is your granddauhgter--a slice of me, only better. Does the pain ever go away and will we meet again?

I watched Regis and Kelly one morning and they had this psychic guy on. He would point at this woman and go like,"do you have a relative that name XXX." then the woman would say yes, and he would give details about that relative. at the end, he would say," you relative says he is doing ok." I never really believed psychic but I thought that was pretty real. My dad is actually dying of brain cancer. I am 20 and he is going to miss the moment when I get married, the moment I give birth to my first kids, etc. I believe my dad loves me and he would be watching me somewhere. I am sure we will meet again one day.

Yes he knows and he is overjoyed and all though he is not physically present and you cant touch him or hug him he is always by your side. When you feel like talking to him just talk to him he can hear you he will not answer through talking but in other ways via your heart, mind, and soul.As for your pain unfortunately a piece of that will always be there regret is something you have to deal with in this life. I can relate I lost my mother in 98 I was only 19 and even though through out most of her life we were close the last couple of years we drifted apart but she is in my heart and memories and I believe we will see each other again.God bless you and your family.
