You can go outside and just laydown on a blanket, or right in the grass and just don't think about car payments, or bills, taxes or loans, just let your mind float around and think about whatever it wants. Normally if you do that, you can get good ideas about something or another.

You have to forget what you think you know, ask questions, listen well without interrupting, ask people about their points of view and why and not be too quick to formulate your conclusions.
This is a very hard thing to do and most people aren't open-minded as they claim they are.
You on the other hand have a great set of legs and can afford to be closed-minded. Ha ha

first, you have to come to the realization that your way of doing things is not the only way to do them. only then will you have an open mind about things. if you are stuck on one track because of what you were taught growing up, or if you have made up your mind without regards to others opinions, it would be very hard to have an open mind.
let go of your inhibitions, and try to accept differences.

Don't question everything. Accept things and people for what they are. Nothing will ever conform to 1 way of thinking or living. Let go of all your worries. My mom always taught me a good way of handling that: Why worry about something if it's so insignificant that it doesn't matter anyway. And if it's so big that you can't do anything about it, why worry about that either? And since it has to be either one or the other, then that leaves nothing to worry about right? Things are going to happen regardless of how much you worry about them. This is the best way I know how. Good Luck.
