Take on some thick skin, babe. The job seeking world is full of rejection, moronic interviewers asking you BS questions, and events that stir nothing more than false hope. If you were a life insurance salesman, you would experience this every day of your sales life. So take it easy on yourself, and don't read anything into anything anyone tells you until you get a formal offer. Postive vibes you feel may not mean a dam* thing.

You know what...I'm in the same boat right now. I had an interview last thursday that lasted like 3 hours and the guy that interviewed me said that everything was perfect and let me sit with someone who was doing the job I was interviewing for a half hour and told me to ask her anything and to pay attention to what she did. I was expecting a call this morning, but I didn't get one. It is true that you could have done a good job, or the manager just wanted to say something as you went out the door. I hope that's not the case, but in all sincerity, I think you probably did good. It's hard to get interviewed by more than 2 people. The most I ever had in one interview was 5. I wouldn't stress over it too much... you probably did a good job.

Take the positives from it.

You may or may not get the job, but usually if you have done very well at the interview and don't get the job , that will be because they have filled it internally, and promoted someone or someone wanted less money than you.

Don't feel despondant if you don't get this job. As one door closes another one opens.

Good luck anyway, hope you get it , if you really want it.

But...its only a job. Life is much more interesting.

ps: I had an interview recently and the MD said "see you soon" on my way out. But I didn't get the job. So never hang on to parting words in interviews. They mean nothing.

He may very well have meant what he said, but he may also not be the final deciding factor on whether you get the job or not.

I'd take it as a positive even if you don't get the position - he didn't have to say those things to you, but felt the impulse to do so - he felt you had the right to know this.

Then again, interviewing with three different people is not something a company will often take the time to bother with unless they're really interested.

Take the positive with you, definitely, but I think that part of that positive aspect may indicate you got the job. Good luck!

When attending an interview, and indeed psyching up to one ,you should think to yourself that not only are YOU LOOKING for a job but the employer is IN NEED OF SOMEONE to fill the vacant position.

Thinking this way in an interview can turn the table somewhat and will help with your self confidence... Tell them what you can offer them... No better way to get your case across.

MD's are usually the good guys and will give you good advice. Middle management always seems to be a problem.

Hint: Try to impress the guy above your direct manager

Think positive - emulate only positive vibes - whatever the outcome you have gained experience and increased your confidence - that's where you start building look forward to hearing good news very soon.

This job may or may not be right for you but when one door closes another always opens and the best is still yet to come.

It was clearly a good response that the managing director himself expressed to you that you interviewed very well.

He is the managing director of the company, he know what qualities, skills and personality is required to sell his wares etc.,

Good luck.!!

Even if you don't get the job take what he said as a positive. Over the years I have interviewed many people and will not give out some praise if it is not deserved.

Take the positives. It is good when you go thought all the interviews for a job because if the first didn't like you they would not bother getting you other interviews. But take it and feel good about yourself.

Yes you should take the positives from your interviews. If they were not intrested in you at all you would have never gotten past the first interview person. Take it as a compliment weather you get the job or not. You did well.

Well done!!! Even if you don't get the job, interviews can be very challenging, so give yurself a pat on the back. He would definately not have said it just to be nice, good luck!! Very positive experience.
