If the line appeared within 5 minutes it is positive, so if it was negative within that time I would say it is a negative test, if a line appeared after a few days it might just be an evaporation line and that means the test is still negative, you have to read the results within the time that your test is suppossed to be read, you can find that on the instructions that came with your test.

No. If you read a pregnancy test after 10 minutes you could get a false positive.

Take another test. Don't trust one that's been sitting. A true positive will show within 3-5 minutes (depending on the test) and stay positive. However, a negative can seem to change to a positive if you read if after too long.

If you're reading a test that showed negative, sat for a while, and is now showing positive, that means nothing... honestly.

Take another test.

Good luck, I hope things turn out the way you want them to.

You are not supposed to read the test after 10 minutes. If you read the directions it says that there is a chance of a false positive after 10 minutes. Next time you take a test make sure you read the directions before you do anything else.

No, they tell you after like an hour, the results aren't valid on the test anymore! So no, that doesn't mean that!!!! If you think you really are, take another test within a couple of days. But if you read the instructions on the pregnancy test it will tell you the results are false after an hour or so!!! Good Luck!!!!!

The directions on the test tell you if the line does not show up within 10 minutes consider any results after that inaccurate and take the test again.

Follow the directions on the test package. If a line shows up hours or days later, it's probably just an evaporation line and means nothing.

A lot of pregnancy tests *will* seem to be positive if you let them sit around a while. They are only accurate if read at the correct time.

im not sure about days, however, it may be possible and you should see your doctor.

i took a pregnancy test for my second child before i missed my period because we were trying to get pregnant, i saw no line at first, forgot about it and left it on my dresser, the next day i noticed the line, very lightly, but present... he is now 8 yrs. old.

I think the line has to develop the same day. I would take another test to make sure or you could go see a doctor.

AFTER 10 MINUTES THE TEST IS NO GOOD!!
You will need to retest with your morning urine and only the first 10 minutes of the test counts.
