I am sure she does, if anything for the effort and money involved in getting there - whether it is a worthy effort or not, it does not matter.
There is also the fact that winning will bring her notoriety and money - plus advertising contracts... so YES, I am sure she gets a feeling of accomplishment.

That is funny. I just got finished reading about Miss Universe and it got me thinking. There are many beautiful people in this world, many of which I am sure are physically prettier than Miss Puerto Rico...I wonder if it goes to her head that she is the most "beautiful" woman on this planet. I wonder how she looks at it. Does she see herself for her physical beauty? Her inner beauty? Hopefully the pageant doesn't just go to her head and give her too much to hope for. Winning a beauty contest isn't so much the key to happiness in life.

I'm certain she does... it's a competition.
Why put yourself through such public scrutiny, if you don't gain some sort of personal gratification by it?
