Go to your automotive store, and get some heat resistant paint...

I wouldnt prime the radiators, (I am assuming that your talking about the radiators in the home)? But, the automotive paint will lay down a "thin" coat, so that you dont "insulate" the radiators, from doing thier job, of putting heat out into the room.

Also, if your using it on car radiator, it will fit the bill to...

I wish you well..

I find that ordinary gloss or silk finish paint is OK on radiators so long as the radiator is cold when it is first applied, and not switched on again until completion of the required drying period for the paint you have used.

I have never used a "special" paint on my radiators, and have never experienced bubbling.

There is a special paint that is at the hardware store I purchase for my wiid stove, but it only comes in black. Any paint you put on them will smell when you first turn the heat on.
