BMW makes some of the best-designed vehicles on the road. They don't have the same high-level of reliability as some Japanese makes like Toyota and Honda, but they're not as bad as American and British-made cars. However, their handling, fit and finish, and styling more than makes up for it, in many people's minds.

O YES!!!! They are the hottest and coolest cars I have ever driven. & I don't care what other people say or think, I'm thinking of getting myself the BMW Z4 M Coupé. I hate Mercedes & Mazdas, the BMW is much more attractive than any of those 2!!!!

The older ones are great looking cars, the new ones however are getting ugly, fat at the bottom, the lights no longer look like a BMW. IMO all german cars a great, good styling good performance, built for the autobahn. But are they cool? It all depends on what you like in your cars. You like a blown big block v8, then BMW arent your car, you like I6's with great styling, and enough power to get you by BMWs are great cars.

They're well engineered, but they're bought by people buy them because they think they are a cool car, but don't care about the engineering. That means that there are far two many of them around for them to be cool anymore - the 3-series made the Top 10 in Europe in May.
BMWs stopped being cool when they became really popular, probably about 1983.
The Renault Vel Satis is cool - ugly, not at all sporty, not reliable, but cool.

B.M.W overated beautiful machines but way to expensive for what you get. I love German machines. but the Japanese cars are very reliable A top range toyota or a bottom range lexus is way more reliable than a bmw ....ofcourse if you are only getting a new one then you will be just fine. nearly all new cars ( apart from lemons) are fairly reliable for the first few years, its the older ones that the reliability rule comes into play

I've got a year 2000 3-Series... specifically an E46 316i Sport Edition 1.9 litre. You can sort of see it in my photo, and by the way, nobody else is allowed to sit on the bonnet except me!!
