Who thinks pink floyd is the best band ever? Was anyone as sad as I was about the death of Syd Barret?

Ok unless you own Piper at the Gates of Dawn you probably shouldn't be so sad that Syd passed away. He wasn't around for any of the bands popular discs including The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, The Wall, Wish You Were Here etc. as David Gilmour took his spot as guitarists. However, to answer your question, I too agree that Pink Floyd was one of the best bands of all time. Even though I've heard Comfortably Numb a million times I still will listen to it in its entirety if it comes on the radio.

I think that they are an excellent band, I am quite fond of them myself. As for being upset, its always a loss when someone leaves us who makes such an impact on peoples lives.
