So many of the folks today were raised watching "slasher" movies & equating that with "scary movies" - that's not necessarily the case; most of them would probably find Hitchcocks' movies boring because there wasn't a whole lot of action. But Hitchcock was a master of suspense & so is M. Shyamalan - he builds the tales & a lot of what is scariest in his movies isn't what you see, but what you NEVER see. So if you get into the mood, enjoy the suspense then I think Lady will be pretty good.

You know, I actually went and seen this movie, and I thought it was pretty good. It's based off of as children's bed time story, so I just liked it for the fairy tale aspect of it. I have to say it was a little strange and the acting could have been 100 times better, but I doubt that it will end his career.
If I were you though, if you want to see this movie, wait till it comes out on video. Even though I liked it, I still don't think it was worth paying to go see at the theater.

After the village, I'm hesistant to go see this one. He was on point with Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable was okay, so was Signs, but the village disappointed me.
I'll wait for Lady in the Water.

My daughter and son in law saw it and did not think it was scary or interesting. Its more about mood than fear . it was boring . my daughter loves good movies and has a good eye for this guys work, but this is not one of his best efforts. They saw it at a screening and said they sure wouldnt have paid to see it .

Every movie he makes is not as good as the one before. Since the village sort of stank, I suspect this new one will stink full on.

I loved everything he's done so far, even the writing he did for Stuart Little, so I don't think I'll be disappointed.
