in the golden age of Hollywood, RKO stood for Radio-Keith-Orpheum, and was one of the big five studios. 1933's King Kong with Fay Wray was RKO. Citizen Kane was RKO.
Ever see the Rocky Horror Picture Show? A lot of that film was cleverly paying homage to RKO, with things like including Claude Rains, Fay Wray, and Michael Rennie in the musical numbers. Even when Rocky was climbing the tower at the end to escape Riff Raff, it was a replica of the RKO tower.
There's no doubt the use of this by the WWE is for Orton's initials, but it's ironic that they match what, to me, RKO really stands for.
It's also funny how RKO is a legend in the film industry, but Orton declares himself the legend killer...

Though he calls himself a "Legend Killer", his own legacy is about to be taken out by Hulkamania at SummerSlam next month.
