What should make you happy?
1. You woke up on the green side of the grass
2. You have food/water/housing/internet
3. The Red Sox are in 1st place in the AL East
4. The Red Sox are in good position to make trades needed to win the east
5. Comparable to #4, the Yankees aren't
6. Papelbon, Hansen, Delcarmen, Lester, Beckett all 25 or under
7. Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, David Murphy, Kason Gabbard, David Pauley, Josh Papelbon (Yes 0.00 ERA 11.3 IP) the future of the team.
8. Matsui, Sheffield, Pavano, Cano, Dotel, Sturtze (all on DL)
9. Fenway Park
10. 13 consecutive games vs subpar teams coming up (Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Baltimore) During the same stretch, NYY play Chicago and Toronto.

Red Sox fans should be happy because even though they lost a tough game to Seattle last night, the Yankees got bombed 13-5 and the Sox still have a 2 1/2 game lead on New York.
You shouldn't be happy with your lead in the AL East from a Yankees fans point of view because it's only 2 1/2 games, there's still plenty of games left. Sheffield and Matsui are coming back. Dotel will join the rotation soon and Johnson, Moose and Wang are 3 top pitchers.

What should make you happy as a Red Sox fan is the youth movement in the pitching staff. This positions the Red Sox as contenders not just in 2006, but for years to come!

Answerman the best Red Sox fan on here besides myself and BeckettGirl of course!!!I love my Red Sox, Variteks home run was awesome, Coco's hits were awesome, Gonzalez's leaping catch was great.Even though they lost they did not go down without a fight.Red Sox Nation all day!!!

2.5 and you should be mad because you lost 9-8 off a walk off we should because we lose 13-5 but you think your so Superior just because your leading 2.5 but look at this last year we were down by 5.0 and we won the division so 2.5 is like a piece of cake yanks in 06

you have the number one fielding defense despite a totally remade infield, still have one of the top teams in hitting, ur closer leads the league in saves, and uve still got Manny and Big Papi
