No. If I feel like I can't give a definite answer but could point someone to a good reference, and no other reliable answers have been given yet, I will wish someone good luck.
Example: How many moons does Jupiter have?
My answer: I know of two, but to be sure you might check with Wikepedia. Good luck!

its not good to despise anybody, no its not bad to say anything positive at the end of an answer because they are showing kindness which this world needs more of,,,like Dan Rather says "good night and good luck",,,, good luck on getting the best answer for this worst question! LOL

Why should i do?
It's a good thing to wish someone good luck.
And also some times the answer must contait " Good luck " that you didn't like. So what's the big deal????

Would you rather them wish you horrible luck? That wouldn't make any sense coming after an answer that's supposed to help you. I always found that saying "good luck" never actually brings any though and it does kind of annoy me, but not enough to write a question about it....

I think I have wished good luck to people I have responded to. I didn't do it to cause you any harm! Actually when I wish someone good luck it is because that is about all I have left, but again not to you!

What's to despise? Wishing someone well or luck is a positive thing...it's nice to know someone is supporting (general) you in whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.

Not especially. I may dislike them a bit, but I certainly don't DESPISE them. It beats having someone wishing you ill.
