Does anyone else think Japan should have won Miss Universe?

She was beautiful and charismatic, and was clearly the crowd favorite after Mexico got eliminated. I thought she had it in the bag.

Yes I did. She is naturally beautiful. I think the judges are just scared of the PR's supportors. They had been yelling for the whole two hours; seems like a pretty crazy bunch.

She could have, especially with her ability to speak several languages. I believe she will make a great difference during her year of reign to touch lives in various parts of the world. If she had been chosen, it would also dispel the much-held opinion amongst newscasters that the judges and (of course) Donald Trump prefer Latin American girls. Just look at the statistics. This would have been a greater positive effect on the constructive role that this contest is all about. // Disclaimer: I am not a Japanese.

I think Japan actually shot herself in the foot when she answered the first question in French and Spanish and her translator couldn't put it into English. I don't want to stereotype my own compatriots, but many Americans don't like hearing other languages unless they are translated back into English. The Japanese translator lady was put in a bad position because she couldn't translate it. If Miss Japan would have translated what she said, she probably would have won.

yes i did...the winners dress was really wierd....i though canada was beautiful too....but japan totally should have won, why was paraguay in the top five? that confused me...and her dress was ugly...
