Film about the castrato singers in Italy who were said to have voices more beautiful than a womans,the actor in the film is not the singer,it,s hard to tell if it,s a female voice or a male one.

I saw the making off. A man and a women played both roles - one of them had the highest part of it and the other one the lowest. They made a mix and came to this special voice. Gérard Corbiau was the director. Wonderful film, indeed !

The voices were an electronic fabrication, probably done by combining a male and female source.
