Do you give simple one liner answers to people's serious questions just to get points?

If so, why? Nobody is paying you to do this. Wouln't you rather give a thoughtful answer to something you really know something about?
Or,
Isn't 10 points enough of a reason to write a good answer (quality over quantity?)

Well, I usually write out a long answer, but sometimes people ask stupid questions or are just idiots. So I write one word, then I get two points for it. And the "Nobody is paying you to do this" is actually a reason to write one word answers. If we got paid for every question we answered when it was picked best answer, then people would actually try and write out longer answers, and put more thought into them. And many of the questions on here can be answered with a simple word or phrase.

I personally like to give good answers. I don't just say something stupid because some of these people are seeking serious advice. And it makes me feel good that someone finds my answers to be helpful or useful in anyway! I agree with you quality over quantity!

I do both. But MOST of the time, I give thoughtful answers. ^___^ It always feels good when my answer get to be chosen as the "best answer". And i'm proud that every morning I open my e-mail, there's always a Yahoo! Answers "Best Answer" e-mail notification. ^__~ So yah.. quality over quantity, baby!

I give answers according to the question. If its a simple question I give a simple answer. On the other hand if its a complex question I give a complex answer. It depends on how much I need to say to get my point across. My answer is always the best regardless of length ;P.

Never for the serious ones - only for the STUPID ones, like "...is it ok if I don't wear panties???" Who gives a crap.

Some people may think this forum is just "something to do", but I see posts from people with problems that are really bothering them. It would make me feel like crap to send a blow-off answer to someone like that.

I never ask a question on here and I only answer qustion that I feel I can be helpful on and I never just give a one liner......what's the point of answwering the question then????

serious questions need not have long answers, the simpler the better... it's the thought that counts! some people get bored reading phrases that are redundant. c",)
