Stick to your guns, honey!!! Thanks to T.V. programs, the media and a general slump in morality, more and more people are not waiting until they are married. I don't mean to criticize, because I was one of those who didn't wait, but I had very few partners, and am now happy in a monogamous marriage, but I have two young children who will one day have to make a choice, and it scares me to think of all the diseases that are out there that can be caught because of unprotected (and protected if the condom breaks) sex, and I also worry because sex with someone that you don't really know can leave you very vulnerable, physically and mentally.

Many people riducule you because they are jealous and sorry that they did not have the willpower to resist temptation that you have... so many people think it was worth it in the heat of passion but once the hormones cool down and the lust is gone.. you come to realize you gave away a once in a lifetime experience to some guy/girl you probably won't know in a few years... I waited until I was 28 and had the most wonderful experience with my soulmate and true love... and I have never regretted it once.

Don't! I was a virgin when I got married and I have had the most fulfilling and satisfying marriage. Think about the playground in grade school. Why do kids make fun of other kids...it's because they feel insufficient. Something in their own little lives is out of whack and they feel the need to bring someone down so they don't feel "less". It's worth the wait!

Well, I hope you are not being ridiculed, but if you don't have sex with a boy then you are missing one of the most wonderful experiences you can have. I believe in making a serious boyfriend wait a few months before allowing him penetrative sex to completion, but restricting yourself to one male for life is pointless.

You don't. Don't listen to those that ridicule. Chances are, they are either regretting having sex now or they will in a few years. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting until your married. That is your right and if people don't understand/respect it, you don't have to justify your decisions to anyone! It's your choice!!!

Anyone that is giving you greif over this either doesn't understand or wants you to give it up. Be yourself and do what is right for you. Don't worry about what others think, you only have to make yourself happy. I have a lot of respect for someone like yourself who waits for the right person, compared to someone who sleeps around, you made a much better choice! Because people are idiots, and like to force thier views on other people. Waiting is entirely up to you, some do, some don't. I didn't, my wife did. Theres pro's and con's either way, just do what you feel is right and forget about the rest of the idiots.
