Due to the unforgivable mess Bush and Blair have made in the so-called pursuit of 'democracy', the country is in a terrible state. Will Iraq ever be able to recover, and how long will that take? Will the people ever forgive our countries for what we have done?

The country is only is a terrible state because of the Mililtia who will not play ball.

You can not only blame Bush and Blair. They tried to do a job quickly but are constantly hindered by terrorist organisations. They can not back out of Iraq now and leave the people to suffer at the hands of terror groups.

Sunni's are killing Shia and vice versa. If we (The coalition) back out now, Iraq will fall into desperate civil war and there will be complete lawlessness and anarchy.

These countries have been in a mess for so long they don't know what it's like not to be in one. B & B didn't help and only got they eyes of the fanatics onto us and out of their own country. I doubt they will ever forgive (it doesn't seem to be in their nature/religion). I doubt the 'everyday' person on the street is that bothered - a war is a war regardless of who's waging it.

iraq is a hard working country, but i'd say the day america leaves iraq and forigners start comming to iraq for construction and development like the other arab countries, it would take from 50 to 80 years to be a fully developed country, and to recover as they were like before it wud take 10-20 years from the day american troops leave iraq.

theres a huge difference between WMD's and Benghazi, the first being that WMD replaced into bipartisan. It replaced into clinton's CIA appointees that produced the intelligence that Iraq had them. also maximum Democrats in congress voted for the Iraq conflict. Al Gore and Joe Biden clamored for procuring rid of Sadam beforehand Bush did. No Republican must be linked to Benghazi

It took over 100 years for both Canada and the USA to become how we are now and we are still developing our democracy. So we can expect Iraq or Afghanistan to change over night, look at our history towards democracy

Well, only if we stop global warming. Iraq needs time. Time to win a war against their goverment. Time to make peace with other countries, and time to feed their needy. If we don't stop global warming through, it will get covered with ice. Then we might mistake it for China.

It will take some time. The people of Iraq must want it though.

They will probably never forgive us. At this point I don't see any reason to. We've brought them to a civil war. It is going to take a very very long time for them to reformulate. Look at what colonialism did to Africa. It still hasn't recovered.
