I think that all women are girls, however, a lady is a woman with class, maturity, social graces.

Ive heard men refer to me as both a girl and a lady in such a way to make it sound like an insult, as im sure most of the other women in the world have experienced, but i refer to myself as a lady sometimes, and others i refer to myself as a girl.

Young females are refered to as girls, never ladies unless it is the cutesy phrase 'young lady'.

Beyond youth, I have found that in actual use, girl tends to be used to refer more to a female with pronounced feminine characteristics; the more pronounced her feminine characteristics, the older she can be and still be referred to as a girl.

It's a wildly politically incorrect notion but still true.

girls are imatur(like me) and ladies are girls all grown up, who don't want to play around, that all they want to do is relax and have some fun with their friends.
