Get rid of Palm trees! They live in those things...

Yea, its a sad day when you have to "get rid" of what makes florida so great, having a palm tree in every yard, eh?

Try some Diazanon Ultra. Its from ORTHO. It will kill just about everything and anything! Buy it at your local Ace or True Value hardware store. (its a concentrate and will make about 60 gallons or so). Put this all around your yard, and it should kill the bugs on the outside.

For the inside, use boric acid. (You can get this at your local pharmacy or drug store). Its a power so all you do is spred it around the baseboards and let it do the work... It will kill the bugs in a few weeks or so.

What you REALLY have to do, is go around and seal up all the "holes" that the bugs are getting into your home, through!

Cracks and crevesas, I would get that "great stuff" that expands (expanding foam, but, be careful as it can break cinder blocks if you spray it into there an it doesnt have a place to expand and get out of ...use sparingly when you spray).

I lived in an apartment, many years ago, and we had the "roaches" or small palmetto bugs, and I did this all around the apartment... didnt have any bugs after that, because they couldnt get in!!! (I actually saw them sitting in front of my door, waiting to get in, because I put weather stripping up, to keep them out!!!) :)

after living in Florida for the last 30 years this is the only thing I found that works-- sprinkle powdered lime around your house--outside it prevents them from coming inside
