I finally got to see Superman Returns and for the most part I was impressed with the movie, the story flowed along at a nice steady pace and the special effects were amazing, especially the near plane crash scene at the beginning of the film.
However, I felt that Lex Luthors goal of building an island for rich holiday makers poorly conceived by the writers, so much about this scenario just didn't add up, such as where was this alien technology that he possesed that could actually defend his waterside property. All it took was a few blasts from Superman's eyes to send Lex running. Any fighterjet could have done the same.
Lois Lane was right, the story should have focused more on the blackout rather than on Superman, that way we would have had a plot to follow! Clark Kent didn't make much of appearance either. That was a mistake.

Everyone who have high expectations about the movie, seems to end up being dissappointed...
The movie have lot of flaws...
It was probably the 4th worst superhero movie in the last decade, behind catwoman, hulk, and daredevil...
But its a must see movie in the theatre just cuz its superman....

The movie was some what predictable in a sense. If you seen Superman 1 and 2 you pretty much understand the movie. In Superman 2 Lois slept with Superman. He leaves for five years and she has a five year old son we all knew he was clark's child it was a no brainer

Brandon Routh was so daym good-looking!!! But that's about it. I REALLY didn't like the movie. Plot was dumb. SOme of the characters were forgettable. And I could NOT believe that people could be so STUPID! They could not tell the difference between the "normal guy", Clark Kent, apart from Superman ~ when all he (Clark) did was change costume and tweak his hair a little. O__o Honestly.. how could people be so dumb?? And don't tell me it's coz of the director! Add yah.. Superman doesn't have a mask liek Spiderman to hide his identity, nor does he escape the cameras to hide his face. -___- He even poses for the cameras! *sigh* .... *shakes head* .... *shakes head some more*

I've heard so many bad reviews about it that I'm in second thoughts, don't wanna waste good buck! A Super millionare resort island??? Oh My God can that be more shallow??? If you wanna know who Luthor is watch the original Superman or Smallville
