smile. shake their hand, repeat the names when you first hear them, in a sentence.
the interviewer says good morning my name is bob,
you say good morning bob... use the name a few times so you remember it. it shows a desire to learn and organize, plus its good manners to recall people's names.
firm handshake, not too firm. be polite and truthful, if you do not know something, dont fake like you do. liars hardly ever get jobs.
indicate you dont know it but are willing to study and or learn it.
thank them after the interview and do NOT forget to send a thank you letter or email or follow up call.

One way to appear confident for an interview is, when you walk in to the employers office, stand up straight. Make sure you have some good posture, hold your head high. Take in a deep slow breath and let it out gently and just relax.
If the employer asks you questions just let the answers flow from you. Be relaxed, if your tense and its only natural that you would be, it won't help. Make the emplyer think that you know your stuff or that you have the ability to learn quickly.
If your asked yes or no questions, answer with a yes sir or no sir. Ofcourse do say sir to a woman.

Remember, the interviewer was also interviewed once and felt much as you will feel. Smile, look them straight in the eye. Think about your answers and be truthful. Give a firm handshake. Have a few questions of your own prepared. Things like "What is the career path from this position?" or, What are some of the specific tasks required in this position and what new skills may I hope to learn?" At the end of the interview, thank the interviewer for their time and consideration.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one has said this: Go to the bathroom before you leave for hte interview.
Don't talk too much. Answer the question.. then stop and let them ask another.
Have specific examples in mind for things listed on your resume. If you wrote that you are a team player, be ready to cite an example of how you worked well as a team, whether it be in school for a specific project, or whatever. Good luck. I agree with all the other comments. Dress nice, stand up straight, eye contact is a must.

Look sharp (pressed clothes, clean shoes, combed hair).
Make eye contact with whomever you are talking to. What type of job are you interviewing for?
Don't be over-confident... that's a huge turn off to potential employers (unless you're interviewing for a "ballsy" job).

Reread your resume a few times before your interview. It is highly probable that a large number of the questions you will be asked will be to give more detail about the experiences and accomplishments you have listed. Make sure that you are able to give that detail.

Take a deep breath before you go in and relax yourself. Answer as concisely as you can - do NOT go off on tangents. Keep your answers as to the point as you can. Be evasive if you need to be but don't waffle. Relaxing is the key. Good luck!

Make sure your hands look neat and polished. They notice if you bite your nails. Don't chew gum. Don't over accessorize if you are a woman. Keep everything tasteful and subtle.
