Is it possible to relace just the lens cover or do I have to purchase the whole assembly? Also, do I have to have this done at the dealer or is something I can do myself? The lens is not broken, but has some sort of film making it appear yellow.

You might try a junkyard. Barring that... a whole assembly needs to be purchased from the dealer.

I believe you have to replace the entire assembly, but its not a hard fix, relatively easy. Go to an auto part store and buy a new pair of lights that you like and appeal best to you, but make sure they match the make and model of the car. Then take the old ones off, remembering where the parts go, and replace the new ones the exact same way you took the others off, not a hard change.

neither... got people who polish the lens for about $90 for both .. Usually they set up and do it in grocery store parking lots or body shops and detail shops do this sort of thing ...You can try kits they make and sell for about $30 at the auto parts stores.. but lot more hand rubbing than most people willing to do.

Basically the plastic is oxydizing and all plastic headlights do it... bascially polishing it with different grits of sandpaper and polish will bring it back to new.....
