There are many herbal preparations that contain natural plant estrogens. Evening primrose, black cohosh, dong quai, maca, red clover and soy are often used in these preparations.
Visit your local health food or natural food store. You'll find a large selection of things available.
Always check with your doctor before taking anything new...as these are potent and they are "real" medications that do carry side effects if not taken properly.

I agree HRT can be dangerous and simply helps the symptoms of menopause, but does not cure it.Fortunately, there is help.Go out and get a book called "The Sexy Years" by Suzanne Somers. The book is about something called Bioidentical Hormone Treatment. It will change your life. The reason you, and many others have not heard of it, is because the durg companies are not benefiting from it financially. They are all natural, safe and inexpensive.(It's all about money)I got the book on e-bay for under $8.00.If you need any further info, please feel free to contact me.jimjean13@yahoo.com
Good luck

Buy a an herbal information book. You can take black kohash (check the spelling), and primrose are some herbs suggested. Talk with your doctor before using any treatment and get his permission first. I know what your going through. My daughter bought me a air conditioner (thank God) it helps. When I'm in public that's another story.
