Or is ok to be emotionally stressed at work during pregnancy?
My work knows...that I am pregnant you can tell. And they still think if I am here..I should work. But I am sooo tired. I work 8:30am-5:00pm with only a 30 min lunch break. Thats it. What should I do?

Your screen name says it all.
While most pregnancies go without a hitch and the expectant mother can work almost to due date (or in some cases into labor, I did). There are a few that require bed rest. My second pregnancy was that way, but my son would have died if I didn't take it easy. So if you can work and be active, please do. It helps you, the baby and your recovery. Bed rest sounds great till the third day and you are sore from sitting, bored and can't go out to do anything because you may be caught by someone from work out and about when you are suppposed to be home 'resting'.
Good luck!

Being stressed really depends on your pregnancy. I am 27 weeks and high risk so in my case I wouldn't be able to continue that job. If you're really stressed and have to work try doing breathing exercises every 30 minutes for 5 minutes or take a little walk and just say it is because you have to get up and move due to the pregnancy. At the very least when you get home you should sit down do whatever makes you relax and allow the stress to melt away but make sure to put your legs up and take time for you!!! The only other thing you can do if you are concerned is ask for reduced hours until after the baby is due or ask to go out on a no pay leave and work out what the reason is with your employer. I hope that this works out for you but I think you should be fine for probably 10 more weeks without much worrying if you take time for you every chance that you while at and after work!

I had the same issues when I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I asked my doctor to write me a note to reduce my hours from 40 to no more than 30 a week. This helped me out immensely. First, my employer knew not to put too much stress on me. Second, my blood pressure really evened off and was finally normal. And third, I was getting my children ready for having to ride the bus to school so I left for work after they got on the bus and was home before them so no daycare.

Also, it is not good to be stressed during pregnancy, especially the last trimester as this is when the brain completes it's developement. I started my shorter work day when I was around 28 weeks.

Your doctor is a very good source for information on this and will be willing to help out. My doctor wanted me to stay home but agreed to the lower hours as a trial basis and that worked out. Now I actually am a stay at home Mom and love it (my daughter was born in Sept. 2005 and I am pregnant again due in January!!).

You didnt become glass when you got pregnant, generally youre safe to continue you're life just as you did before you got pregnant.

If you're under so much stress that you're endangering your life or the baby's your doctor can write you a note. But so long as the baby is developing fine, your ultra sounds are normal, and your weight and blood pressure are safe then you're fit for work.

If you cant handle a full time job while pregnant then you should go ahead and find a part time job, or something youre more comfortable with.

being tired and sore and cranky is just part of pregnant life. You have to deal with it whether you're at work or not. And being up and active is much much better for you and the baby than resting around the house.

I think you are just looking for a way to get out of work. It's a normal 8 hour day dear...that's what most full-time workers put in. As for it being emotionally stressful, most jobs are if you let them be. Being tired is a major part of pregnancy and you need to just get used to it and go to bed earlier.

Are you overweight to commence with??? if you're then you fairly dont favor to attain as a lot weight as a skinny man or woman! I purely gave start in Sept 2007, i replaced into overweight to commence with when I were given pregnant and didnt benefit any weight over all...i ought to benefit a lb or 2 then lose it when I gave start to my 10lb 13.9oz infant woman I weighed a similar as I did when I were given pregnant! My Dr reported I did splendidly and on account that i replaced into already overweight I didnt favor to attain any weight! in case your Underweight you would possibly want to be gaining some weight yet from the sounds of your Dr and him no longer hectic about it you prolly dont favor to attain a lot if any!!! Congrats on your New infant!!!! :)

Yep...tell your doctor the same thing you told us. Tell him that you are afraid that the stress will affect the baby because you are experiencing a GREAT amount of stress.

It's really unfortunate that your work is not more understanding. I really hope everything works out!

go to your doctor and explain to him what you are telling us. I think he will understand and he will put you off. My doctor wanted to put me off the same week we found out about the preg. because I worked in automotive! Yet I worked until my son was ready to be born a week before! Good luck

Just tell your doctor what you just said here. That's what I did and mine took me off work for the last month and a half.
