"Time heals all wounds", that is a true quote. It will take time, you just have to take it one day at a time. It will be hard, but you will make it.

Just know that something else is right around the corner, or maybe a little longer off than that..... I was with somebody really good for me this winter, and i was falling in love with her, but she dumped me pretty soon into it for personal reasons (basically she didn't want a boyfriend on top of everything else on her plate). I was devastated because I thought I found my match and i'd never find anyone that good for me again....... well then a few months later I met someone who's even better for me, and things are going great, and I'm in love again and everything is just fine.... I know it's hard, but you've just gotta know that something else will eventually come along... in the meantime, work on being happy with yourself, if you love yourself, someone else will love you too..... and don't look too hard, because love often happens when you're not looking..... and remember, everything happnes for a reason!

My remedy:

- Call friends
- Volunteering in the community
- Hang out with people that are fun to be with
- Stay away from anything romantic
- Listing out all of the reasons why I am better off without him and reading it whenever I get the urge to call him
- Make sure that I'm still dressing up - just for me
- When I want to be alone, I just make sure that I don't stay home alone - I go out walking or to the park or down by the river and watch the people
- Remember that life is so much simpler without him

First all i just want to let you know that your not alone hun. I recently had my heartbroken by my boyfriend of 2 years. The best way to get over a ex is to hang out with friends. Being alone and by yourself just makes you think about it more. Hang arond alot of people. Try as much as possible not to listen to any song that may sadden you or make you think about that person. Me on the other hand listened to them cause it made me realize i wasnt the only one out there with a broken heart and i needed to shed a few tears. When i broke up with my ex i stopped carring about myself and the way i looked and dressed beacuse i felt as if it didnt matter how i looked any more. Dont do what i did. Go shopping that should cheer you up a bit. Go out and buy a graphic tee that says somthing like "I'm SINGLE" lol nah im just playing with you. Dont let that person know that you still care about them. Thats the best revenge you can get on an ex. They want to see you sad, they want to know that if they wanted to they could still hook back up with you and control you and dump u again if they wanted to. When you see your ex try not to even make eye contact with them. Walk right past them as if they're just someone random person your walking by on the streets. That'll really piss them off because they'll realize that you've moved on and no longer want them. And when they try and talk to you IGNORE them just like that ignored you and your feelings when they stomped all over your heart. good luck hun

There's no easy answer to that. The best I can say is that it just
takes time. Each day will get better than the last and your heart will mend a little at a time.

Try to remember that everything happens for a reason. You might not be able to see it now...but in time you will look back and see how much better off you are without them! In the mean time...surround yourself with positive! Keep your chin up.

Go to a party. Try not to think of them. Get to know someone else. Play on the computer. Just try not to think of them.

Find someone new, who can distract you from the pain. Make sure they won't be leaving soon so your heart can mend.
