I have never heard this Song but in Literal Sense I would love to walk 500 miles sometime in my life.

1000 miles would be kind of fun. I haven't had the time off or the money to fund that kind of hike, but I think it would be an eventful experience

I would for my hubby. He used to sing this to me when we were dating. He still sings it to me sometimes after 11 years of marriage. :)
