No. Nor should it. At the ultra-low prices of the early 90s, gas was wasted constantly (think of the ridiculous SUV craze). Now people are finally 'gas conscious' for the first time. I don't think that's a bad thing. As for alternative fuels, maybe something like that will come around, but not until it's cheaper than the price of oil, and that will be awhile.

high gas prices push us to move to alternative and hopefully cleaner fuels or power sources, sources that don't require constant war to secure

no it will never be that low again in our lifetime. You buy it at $3 why should they lower it to $2 ?

oh please...its £1 a litre, or £4.50p a gallon here in the UK. so whats that in USD? 7 nearly 8 $$ a gallon?

no it will never ever be 2 again. i live in iowa where at 2.83$ a gallon thats as cheap as it gets

I really don't think so I wrote my congress and his answer was in short buy a HIBRED car. so no really don't think so
