It was a good flic, just not a "great" one, like the original.....agree ?

Yes, I do agree with you - we didnt' have great seats when we saw it, so perhaps that had a bit to do with it - but at one point I was like, Okay, come on - let's get this over with!! I know for a fact I didn't have any moments like that during the first one. Not to mention leaving the end open so obviously for a sequel - man,
that's commercialism at it's best! Oh well - you know I'll line up to see what happens next!! You get the popcorn, I'll save the seats!! have fun!!

I think the pirates 2 and pirates 1 are both on the same level, the second one just had more twists and turns in the story line whereas the first one was pretty much straight foward. I just wonder what the third pirates is going to be like.

uh! thank you! i keep saying the exact same thing... and everyones like ... 'no its sooooo much better than the first.' and i say no.
i mean it was good. but it cant be compared to the first one. seriously. i mean the first one.. was kind of believible, and it was like.. yeah, you know.. this could happen.. even though they were like turning into skeletons in the moonlight.. but hey.. a little beleivable.. right? well numero dos was like... no.. no REAL guy has an octopus for a beard.. thats just rediculous.
but.. it was still a good movie.
and im such a sucker, that im going to buy it when it comes out on dvd anyway

I agree...Good movie and I enjoyed it, but I enjoyed the first much better. Could have cut it down about 30 minutes as well.

It is 30 minutes too long. Some judicious editing would have helped with the pacing.

Agree.
It seemed like they were looking ahead to the third movie too much, and some of the scenes seemed like filler.
But, wow, the Kraken! I loved that monster.

It was good, but no where as good as the first one. I just love Johnny Depp in it aka Captain Jack Sparrow.

i loved it! but it leaves you hanging for the third one which i think is supposed to be realesed nxt year...but other than that i'd give it two thumbs way up
