No. In the case of rape, the innocent unborn child should not be sentenced to death for the crime of her father. Furthermore, abortion only increases the trauma and grief of a woman who has been raped. For more on rape and abortion, see:

In regards to the second situation you described, you should know that 480 American physicians recently signed a statement saying that abortion is never "necessary" to save a mother's life:

http://www.all.org/article.php?id=10682

Even former Planned Parenthood president Alan Guttmacher said (in 1967!), "Today it is possible for almost any patient to be brought through pregnancy alive, unless she suffers from a fatal disease such as cancer or leukemia, and, if so, abortion would be unlikely to prolong, much less save the life of the mother."

The age of viability continually decreases, and, if necessary, babies can be delivered early via induction or c-section rather than killed by abortion. We would not, I hope, recommend that a woman in a leaky boat throw her one-month-old baby overboard to increase her own chances of survival. Why, then, is the unborn child considered fair game?

I feel as though in any case in any circumstance, abortion is wrong. It would be a very terrible thing to become pregnant from being raped or taken advantage of. I've been there. It turned out I wasn't pregnant but I know the feeling, I still feel as though you should try to turn a terrible situation into a good one. That is still a beautiful life being created. If you can't keep it, give it the chance to go be in a good home with some family that can't get pregnant. As far as the woman dying from pregnancy that's tough. That is a very hard thing to say but I believe you should still try. Someone earlier stated that you don't have to carry the baby to term, there are so many new technologies out there, it can work. I don't think that is a reason, as hard as it is to say. The beginning of one life sometimes means the end to another. I am a mother of a beautiful 3 year old, and I couldn't imagine him being in this world without me. But I've lived my life not enough of it, I'm only 21 but i've lived a lot longer than an unborn child, I would say take the risk and give the baby a chance, give the pregnancy a chance. But at the same time, I do think that I would not blame someone for having an abortion under these circumstances. I think that there are so many heartless people out there that have abortions for the wrong reasons, and if right reasons existed I would say this is them.

As a Christian, I disapprove of abortion in any situation.

A) This is very rare, the stress and shock from a rape generally prevent conception from taking place. However, if pregnancy did occur, why should the child die for the sins of the father? I believe adoption would be a better option if the memories would be too difficult to bear.

B) This is also very rare. In 1994, out of 482,000 births, only 57 deaths were connected with pregnancy. With today's medicine, it is even unnecessary to carry a child to term. Doctors estimate a child can survive outside the womb at just over 25 to 28 weeks.

i'm no longer particular what stance you're taking up your essay, or perhaps you're taking both stances? besides the undeniable fact that it feels like you're searching for the "professional-selection stance", in which case human beings on that area of the fence typically say that that is arbitrary to rigidity a lady to have somewhat one. no longer each and every lady is financially able to helping a toddler, no longer to prepare mentally or emtionally, so it isn't moral for the authorities to have a say in forcing a lady to have a toddler. yet another argument you should take is the actual organic and organic area. A fetus isn't a toddler. A possible fetus is. possible meaning, that if it replaced into born at that second it ought to live on outdoors the womb. surgeon's are, by regulation, unable to abort toddlers that are on the point of the position they could properly be born and live on outdoors the mum's body. that's extremely diverse than a 100 or so celled organism and not using a liver, kidney or the different body area, yet extra only a mass of cells of the moms. If this organism replaced into to be born it does no longer very last better than a millisecond outdoors the womb without lack of life. with any success you're arguing the pro-existence area of the talk by way of the undeniable fact that is a lot extra attainable and also you may say that that is inhumane and vast to kill toddlers and everybody who helps that is a assassin.

Abortion is killing an innocent life no matter what the circumstances are. I don't judge what other people do because it's not my place, but I would never choose my life over an innocent child. It's in God's hands. If I had a child out of rape, I absolutely, would give that baby to a family who will love him/her.

A. Most definitely not. Is it hard to carry this child? Of course. Is it the child's fault that they were created under these circumstances? Of course not. Have the child and give up for adoption if you cannot keep him or her.

B. Toughest call of all abortion discussion. I think that the doctor needs to be very wise here. Still have to give it to God in the end.

Yes if is okay.

Abortion is a personal issue. Unless you can deliver a baby from your body you have no right to ask the question.

I do not believe that a woman needs to have an
excuse to terminate a pregnancy.

And no, I have never been pregnant. I am pro-choice.

I believe that if a woman feels she needs to have an abortion then that is her decision, as long as the father does not mind then she has noone to explaine to. But that is my opinion and many people will disagree with me.

I do not like abortion. However it is a necessary act, in our society, anytime the life of the mother is threatened or the child will be subjected to hardships.

I think those are some of the only cases when it is okay. You have the right to choose, and once you had sex you chose. You gave up your choice once you had sex. That is just my opinion, I know others will disagree with me...but whatever. But to answer your question, yes those are okay.
