Been to Belgrade many times, don't miss to go to Skadarlija, an old part of Belgrade, there you can feel the real soul of the city... Also Kalemegdan fortress is great, beautiful view... Also a must-see is Vracar, there' St. Sava's temple who was really important in Serbian history and I think it is the biggest Orthodox Christian temple in the world... Lots of cool bars and clubs, not as expensive as other European capitals but far more expensive then other places in Serbia... Always a lot of young people about in the city, always something going on...

One thing is sure:you won't be bored :)

Well, I am living in Belgrade, and I am pritty sure that there are many places to visit, and as Jelena said Belgrade is the city of south european future. Just to say that I have mentioned that fact for I don't know how many times before.
First, if you want to visit and sightsee Belgrade, capital of Serbia, you must be ready to have an amazing time. Belgrade is a great city for partying, and especially for young people. You can drink as you wish, there are NO strickt laws that prohibit drinking. You can party whenever you want, because rafts (splavovi), clubs and discos are always opened (every day and night), and they are always full. Serbia is in that way more different than Europe, 'cause in Europe you can go out only on Friday and Saturday, but in Serbia and Belgrade, you can go out on Tuesday if you want and you can go out whenever you want.
Second: If you're coming to Belgrade you should try reading about Serbian beautifull history (the only period of Serbia's history that sucks is around 1990). That should help you a lot. You should visit Kalemegdan foretress, Skadarlija, temple of Saint Sava(one of the biggest orthodox temples), and many other churches like Church of saint Marko etc, Knez Mihailova Street, there are also many beautifull parks, if you're nature lover, like Kosutnjak, Senjak and plenty of others. If you want to relax yourself during these really hot days you should deffinitely go to Ada Ciganlija. There you can have a bath or enjoy yourself in beautifull park complexes. There are also many sports activities and playgrounds. It's perfect for strolling along the coast. There is a nudist beach, if you like that.
There are many other places to visit, and you should definitely come here, to my beloved ccity, and enjoy in it's beauties. I haven't informed you about everything, of course. Belgrade is too large for being described in omly one answer, but this will be enough for a first visit to Belgrade, the most beautifull cities at Balkans.

P.S. If you are sport lover, Belgrade is an ideal place for you, because Serbia is great at almost every sport, and this year Belgrade is hosting European Championship in waterpolo. Believe me, you'll be thrilled! If you need anything else, contact me!
