First let me say I do not claim to be a "smart intellectual" as requested in your question.

The US media is often blamed for formulating the opinions of the public. It is true to an extent, but the truth behind history and current events is also available. The documentary in the link isn't revolutionary. All of us in so called free societies have access to the information.

If you go back though the last 70 years, you will find the truth behind most events doesn't make the front page or the opening of the news. It has been and continues to be buried.

To answer your question, you cannot open the eyes of the people. If they wanted to know, they can easily find the truth.

As it is often said, "Ignorance is bliss".

After watching the video I was struck by one thought. How many people have died because of the hatred of Israel. And the refusal to give up that hatred.

In 1948 the nation of Israel was formed. Was that right or wrong I really don't know. But it was. Done deal. Did anyone build a bridge and get over it? No.

In the six day war Israel saw vast Arab forces massing on it's border. Knowing they couldn't stand if they Arabs attacked first they struck first and won. Later the Arabs got in the first blow and almost took over Israel. But the Arabs lost. In the process Israel took control of land that had strategic military value. Israel has defeated four countries much larger than itself- Twice. Israel is fighting for existance while Arabs are fighting for just land. That is why they will not go away.

I noticed all that land was termed occupied land. At what point does territory cease to become occupied and become part of a country?

I guess my real point is this. Israel wasn't as big as it is now when it was formed. But it's not as big as the territory it occupied. They did give some back. And they were willing to give the Palestinians back even more. But have the Israelis gotten anything out of giving land back? You can forget about them giving everything back. If they did that Israel wouldn't exist.

Most are not even alive that were when Israel was formed. Still the hatred exists. For almost 60 years there has been conflict. Why not try co-existance for the next 60.

What could be accomplished by spending all the money that is spent on things that make loud noises was spent on building things? War does no ones economy good.

Wow!!!! I see what you mean....wasnt that the most incredible piece of propaganda by the Israeli hating arabs you have ever seen??

Did you notice like I did...that not once did they mention that the war was started by Eygpt and Syria??? They also forgot to mention that the land won by Israel was land that was "occupied" by military forces sworn to the destruction of Israel??

Its amazing that they continue to exploit the so called "palastinians" as if there ever was a country called "Palastine"!! Those people are Syrian's that got kicked out of their own country for Gods' sake! and Syria wont take them back.

Now what you have to do...is start reading your history books...hopefully you will find some that recorded the truth. Most of what you see come from the Arabian press is propaganda that encourages the hopelessness and strife of the people in the middle east for their own political gain.

People don't want to click on a google link?! I think they are paranoid. As far as the video, yes. Obviously produced to push a point of view, there still are no lies in this video. Israel did grab land during the war, from a people who did not start the war. It has caused nothing but problems since. A rebellion always has a reason. Hence we have "terrorists". Remember how our American terrorist ancestors repelled the British?! Geez, come on people!

To understand the whole picture, you must see from both sides.

Jesus him self was a Jew It was not Jews but Romans who tortured and killed him.
We cannot refuse the fact that Jews were the first people on earth, It is from Jews that Muslims and Christan's came, and today the terrorists want to wipe out Jews from the map, is that right...........As far as I know, Jews respect all religions and they don't harm anyone unless someone starts with them. They have full right of self defense. If today they have gone too far, there is a reason for it.........lets not blame any body and just pray to god for peace of this world

Another racist troll...

This again? Trolls have been posting links to this video all over answers. It covers only selected history, leaves out the facts that do not support its conclusions, includes statements that have been proven to be false, and generally is about as credible as the UFO videos found on google.

It is a video for the anti-Israel faction.
