i admire classic rock, alongside with the band you point out, and that i additionally like Nirvana. i don't evaluate it to be on a similar par as a results of fact the ideal classic rock, yet its particularly good so a great way as greater contemporary music is going. the main significant people who hate Nirvana are followers of 80s hair steel. Now, Nirvana did spawn a legion of poor bland imitators, of which the likes of Nickelback are one sort. the hardship with grunge is that if it lacks the skill, sincerity, emotional intensity, and massive riffs of Nirvana, it particularly is an exceedingly uninteresting sort of music. customarily it has possibly had a foul result on music, in encouraging the punk ethic, the place technical skills, complexity and and so on. are left out. The commercialized watered-down crap is the worst of path, yet even the indie scene has been contaminated with grungoid depressing monotony.

I think its easy to see why people might hate Nirvana, although Kurt was an amazing songwriter his guitar playing and vocal were slightly unorthadox. I think this has caused a lot of resentment especially at the time when they first appeared.

Personally I love Nirvana.

I think you like what you like. Anything that was too popular or became too mainstream, is considered against the rebel cause and therefore liking it is tantamount for some people to admitting that they are the little lemmings they are. People don't realize no matter how hard they try to be different, they only come out more the same.

If you like Nirvana, good for you! Enjoy them! Don't let other people tell you what to like.

I don't think people dislike their music because he died, I think the opposite. I think most people think its cool to like them because he died. He was supposedly some "unseen, unheard poet". So misunderstood. Please! I like the music, but it turns my stomache when people worship him like he was some sort of music Messiah. He was messed up and he made some decent music. It's not like he is going to come back in a couple of years and only take the people that followed him.
