Seriously, why are so many White Americans depressed? I don't think our European counter parts are depressed, and the non white Americans seem to be doing fine. So what is wrong with you white people?

So far the answers are, we didn't get god's blessing, we are stressed, and mexicans invading georgia. There has to be more to why white americans are so depressed

Well, I really don't know about other races, but I am white and have had 2 battles with depression. I think everyone has some sort of depression at one time or another. The first time I had it was after childbirth, post-pardom. I think thats fairly common though and can definitely happen to any race. To say that its only white folks is a bit unreal. It happens to alot of people. I think that white people may be a little more outspoken about it.

I think alot of americans are depressed because in order to have a happy life you must worship the real God and have his blessings.
By the way, money is not God's blessing exactly. It is the root of all evil. Yes, have money, but A person is not blessed if he gives nothing to the people who need it most.

White people are often also among the upper class. The upper class are often depressed because of the emptiness of a non stop busy life that provides no true joy. The rest of us have way more in our lives to deal with. Black people don't have time to be depressed, most of the time. Culturally, I know we just aren't like that. But many of us are still depressed, don't get me wrong.

Hate to tell you this but I lived in the UK for a couple of years and they are just as bad over there. Oh and other ethnicities seem just as depressed to me - everybody is depressed/angry. No meaning to their lives I suppose. Me, I'm usually quite happy but all these wars and killing are seriously bumming me out.

Theres quite a lot of teenage depression around here in England, but I do my part to help out, and it usually works, but theres still a lot of it here, unfortunately........................ITS BECAUSE OF THE BLOODY WEATHER HERE! lol

Because they have lost their direction. They are allowing themselves to be bullied by crazy 'minorities'. My generation, (the Baby Boomers/Old Hippies, call them what you will) has lost its moral fibre and ideals.
