I have this great book that tells me how to dress for everything and what looks good and stuff. There are some rules...
1. Don't try to upstage the bride...never wear white just think how you'd feel if someone did the same.
2. Plan for the weather- don't wear a tailored suit in august or you'll end up red faced and hot the same goes for wearing a floating chiffon number in January.
3. Think about footwear... If it runs from day to evening straight through wear shoes you are able to stand in.
4.If it is a day to evening affair choose an outfit that will see you nicely through both - for example, a slinky dress worn under a smart jacket that can be shed later
5. Avoid pale colors if there are a lot of booze involved. Don't let your day be ruined by food or wine spillages- stick to vivid colors that can easily be sponged down

The obvious answer is a dress, but I really like to wear a skirt and blouse better. It's more versatile; after the wedding you can wear the seperate pieces with other items so they are more casual. Also, black has become more acceptable to wear at weddings, as long as the outfit looks festive, not funereal.

It depends on what time of the day the wedding will begin. An evening wedding can be more formal. A morning or an afternoon wedding in summer can be less formal. Good luck and have fun:)

what should WHO wear at a wedding? The bride? A guest? When is the wedding (summer, fall) Where is it taking place? Outside? In a church? Formal or informal? How old are you, approximately? Is it a daytime or evening wedding?

depends if it is a night or day wedding. During the day I would wear a sundress and if it was at night I would wear a nice sexy dress, like maybe halter top black with pink sash belt. Cute

depends on how formal the wedding is. You probably know that a sexy, black dress, just above your knee should do the trick. Also try some high-heels, maybe a pair of shoes that have some crystals on(not necessarly Swarovsky).

a day wedding- sundress or something more casual than dressy.
a night wedding- dressy is the way to go.
But don't wear black because it will look like you are going to a funeral.
Don't wear white because it will look like you are stealing the bride's spotlight on her most special day.

It depends on the venue. You should never wear an elaborate white dress, it will look like you're competing with the bride.

Anything but white. Maybe a cool cotton sheath, a sun dress or a flowy wrap dress.
