There are a lot of different snakes. They all need different types of care because they all come from different places and eat different things. In general they all need a thermal gradient That means they need to have one side of thier enclosure warm and the other about 10 degrees cooler. The actual temperatures depend on what kind of snake you have. You can get this by using an under tank heater sold in pet stores and putting it on one side of the tank. That way the snake can choose what side depending on his needs.. All snakes are meat eaters. That means you will likely have to feed them rodents. A lot of experts recomend feeding them pre killed food. This is safer than feeding live food because a live rat or mouse can bite and even kill a snake. You can buy frozen rodents online at places like this http://www.rodentpro.com They really don't need baths but should have a water dish at all times that they can fit thier whole body in if they need to. Sometimes they like to soak especially if they are going to shed soon. They need at least two hide boxes. One at the hot end one at the cold end. These can be anything from a upside down flower pot with a hole cut into the side to an expensive hide box at a pet store. it should be just big enough for the snake to completely curl up inside of it. They like dark snug places. They will need a substrate or bedding at the bottom of the cage. The easiest and cheapest is newspaper or paper towels. They also sell bedding at pet stores made of wood shavings. NEVER use cedar shavings for reptiles. They are toxic to them and you will kill your snake. Some people say pine shavings may also have ill effects but this is greatly debated. Some people have used pine for years with no problem. I use aspen shavings for my snakes. It is a little more expensive but it works well and my snakes love it. Now this is just a general overview of snake care. Your snake may need some special care that I didn't mention. You should look up info on the exact snake you have of are planning on getting. Just remember they need special care. If everything is not perfect they wont survive.

It depends on the snake. Desert snakes are different from jungle snakes are different from prairie snakes. As for food, that also depends on the species. as for baths, just leave a tray of water in the cage and they will take care of themselves.

It depends entirely on the species. You will need to do further research and/or ask about the particular species of snake you are interested in purchasing.
