intering 9th grade and a really big high school?

i am intering 9th grade this year and the high school that i am going ot is really big and i think that i am going to get loss what should i do ??

Well, before school starts, they probably will give you a map, so you can start becoming familiar with it before your first day. Don't be afraid to ask questions -- it's far better to ask, then to try to figure it out while getting all nervous & scared. It's important to be yourself - don't be afraid to speak up for yourself -- look other people in the eye, and say "hi" in the halls. Treat others like you would like to be treated. Expect to make silly mistakes, it happens to everyone. Don't get all bent out of shape if someone is rude, or says something stupid. They are just as scared, and they do that sort of stuff to try to hide it. Don't stoop to their level either. Check out the different activities & organizations you can join, that will get you involved with other students, in smaller groups, and you will have something to work on together that interests you. Make extra copies of your schedule, the map, and stick them on the inside cover of your assignment notebook, binder, backpack, etc. You might also stick one inside your locker. Keep extra stuff in your locker - like extra pens, safety pins, notebook paper. You might want a comb or a brush and a magnetic mirror to stick in there too. Good luck! I wish you well!

If you can sign up for band or a sport that will be practicing before school starts, you will becom familiar with the layout of the school without all of the people there. Also you will make some new friends that will help you go into the first few weeks of school with a little more comfort. Good luck-just know that all of the freshmen will be having the same feelings on that first day and if you have someone to laugh with it will make it a whole lot better.

Don't feel alone, a lot of people are entering high schools. Is there a freshman orientation or something? That could help you find your way around. If you do get lost, ask a teacher for directions. Don't ask an upperclassman, because who knows, they might give you wrong directions to your "science class" and you will end up in the janitor's closet. Good luck in high school!

I remember worrying about the same thing when i started my new school but you will be fine, you will probably get a map and the teachers are so nice when youre new. Everyone will feel the same way so you wont be alone. After a few weeks it wont seem so big and you will soon find your way around i promise. Good luck xxx

you'll be fine im sure thats how all the imcoming 9th graders feel, just be with your friends and stick together, high school is way different then middle school, justa warning. peopel chasge and aren't who you think they are. just stick to your morals and you'll be fine i really kno how u feel because im going into 9th grade

My sister is also intering the ninth grade. But she's happy and smart.
