something has been stolen at work and your boss who you thought respected you, didn't come right out and accuse you but pointed you out as an example because you carry the right size bag that would have fit the object stolen. many other people carry similar bags or backpacks. wouldn't you feel accused, knowing he pointed you out like that? i don't want to say anything, he will be like thee thinks tho doest protest too much, right. but i hate thinking he thinks i may have done this. what would you do?

Who knows, maybe he just noticed your purse first, or possibly he feels comfortable enough with you to use you as an example. I definitly dont think that means he believes you did it.
Try not to let this bother you. > Thiefs usually get caught anyway because they continue to steal. Ride it out and wait for them to get caught.
If he starts treating you differently or acting suspicious around you, then yes I would address it.

Did you do it? You have a guilty conscience about something.
If you're clean, then ignore the hurt feelings. Grow up. Get over it. Be the adult you claim to be.
If he really does suspect you, then the formal accusation will come later. This is when you can prove your innocence. By telling the truth.

Ask the boss to show everyone the proof or get the boss to check all those who carry the similar bags.

If this is the 1st time something thoughtless has been done by your boss, go to your boss and relay your feelings. Don't be defensive, this may be only an innocent comment. If this is a reoccurring theme, find another boss.

hi there!
i would absolutely feel bad as i respected him i would probably talk to him and proved that what they are accusing me is not true. a murderer is still innocent until the final judgment is done. though they are your boss they dont have the right to judge you without the valid evidence in their hands and they dont have the right to accused you for they are not the one feeding you for your living. talk to them and defend your rights im sure they will give you the chance to clean your name to them.... gudluck! God bless! =)

I would ignore it. I might also take him to the side and tell him that you didn't like being made an example of.Eventually they will catch whoever is stealing

Tell him to his face, you did not steal anything and your will to take a polygraph to prove it.

Either your boss is accusing you, or he is incredibly stupid.

If you didn't do it, you don't have anything to worry about. You can't be fired for stealing air...
