Porn Star!!! There's nothing wrong with porn, people like it, its a marketable commodity and it does NOT hurt people, it makes people happy. People who do not like it are 100 % free to not look at it. Look at all the destructive ways people make so called "respectable" money--selling cigarettes, booze, guns, over priced military weapons, ripping off people with bad loans, fake TV evangelists, the list is endless. Porn is honest work.

I analyze this question a bit differently. First, it is a question of being rich or being poor, regardless of why. After that, it is a question only of: "by what means are you rich?"

Ordinarily, I would rather be rich than poor, artist or not. However, the porn scene by all accounts is at best tacky and can involve people of dubious character, questionable methods, suspect contacts, and sometimes outright mistreatment.

But above it all, the misuse of sex and sexuality draws upon oneself very unhelpful karma, and is therefore a livelihood that ultimately brings one suffering, for all the money one gets.

A poor artist has better karma, can stay an artist much longer, and makes a more valuable contribution to other people in life.

So put me down for talented poor artist.

A greatly talented but poor rich star. Cuz in time my "great talents" would be discovered, I would strike a record deal & become rich, making me a greatly talented filthy rich artist, which is way better than both options you're giving me. Whearas if I was a rich porn star, my fame & richness would last for only a second, and then I would become a poor porn star, which would be way worse than both options you're giving me. Make Sense?

Well seeing as how I am already a greatly talented, but poor artist I would like to see if the grass is greener on the other side.

It would be nice to have little extra money in my pocket. But whats the use of having fat pockets if you have to take your pants off when you go to work. I think I will still poor and talented, who knows maybe I'll get lucky and meet a rich porn star.

I dont think most porn starts could be considered filthy rich the top ones make very good money but not filthy rich. A majority of porn stars work will be done before they are a certain age also decreasing the value of their work over their entire lifetime. Huge risk of disease also.

Poor artist. For one, the artist is using his/her God-given talent to produce an everlasting piece of art without losing his/her integrity. Second, success is not measured by the amount of money one makes from a venture, but from the personal satisfaction of the product and the process.
A piece of art, such as a sculpture or painting will last hundreds of years and will give a multitude of people a glimpse into the mind of the artist and can promote many emotions, where a piece of pornography is fleeting and appeals to the very basics of raw emotion, lust.

The artist, certainly. At least it takes a measure of talent to be that. Nor is destitution necessarily a bad thing for a painter. I gives his work an urgency and depth that goes missing with wealth.

Besides, porn stars are known to die of AIDS and the like, so their money doesn't do them much good.

I’d have to go with the being an artist. If my work was recognised by the public it would out weigh not making much money out of it. I think the shame attached to being a dirty porn star would be too great.

I would rather be a talented but poor artist as appreciation from people worth much more than others. Besides when one is poor, one can strive to achieve target or dream.
