I am 52 and my mother is still nosey. Anyone else have a nosey Mother or mother in law?

I own a Duplex, my parents live on one side and my girlfriend and I live in the other side. It still pisses me off that she will go out of her way to know other peoples business. She sits back in the shadows watching and listening to every action or word spoken when we are out doors. When I am in my home, I swear she has her ear stuck to the wall because she will ask me about a phone call I answered. I am really getting sick and tired of no privacy around her. The reason they are next door is because they are getting pretty old and need some care to live on their own. I love my folks dearly but it was my Mothers noseiness that kept me away for 24 years. I moved 2000 miles away just to have my privacy. Now I'm back and she is at it again. She has been told to mind her own business but it doesn't phase her. HELP!

She watched as he tucked it back under the mattress.
As soon as he went out she just had to have a look. As she did she exclaimed ‘I knew it, he has got himself a photograph of his girlfriend over in England, and an ugly old bit*ch she is too’.
