My partner has had 3 children. They say the 3rd is always the most painful during labour and having had 2 already your stomach will already be stretched rather than the stretching that occurs during the first pregnancy.
The differing sizes will probably be as the baby is still very small it will move from the front to the back as it pleases. There are plenty of pregnancy websites and forums im sure youll find a pretty similar answer though.

At 3 months, i replaced into 'popping' already, too. a range of of human beings requested me if i replaced into having twins, and for awhile, i assumed i replaced into. My surgeon reported i replaced into measuring very large. I hadn't truly received a lot weight, yet i replaced into very large contained in the tummy. Now i'm 6 months, and it has bogged down. i look very pregnant, yet i do not look as if i'm well previous 6 months. I have purely received about 8 pounds. i'm purely having one, no longer 2, and he's healthful and energetic, and measuring somewhat better than regularly occurring for gestational age. i imagine each and every man or woman is diverse, pretty contained in the early ranges of being pregnant. one among my coworkers is due 2 days beforehand me - she is 6 months besides and is particularly showing and that's her 2d infant - with me, its my first, and that i have appeared pregnant on account that April! It purely is going to illustrate we are all diverse and our bodies react to being pregnant in very diverse strategies.

when i was 3 months pregnant i also looked 6 months,it worried me because everyone was saying i was having twins or a 12lb baby,i'm only 5ft tall, and had 3 kids already, but when i reached 6months my stomach didnt seem to grow as quickly from then on,and i went on to have 1 8lb 4oz little boy, my midwife said the more babies you have the bigger your stomach goes and you suffer more aches and pains, good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and hope all goes well

Have you had your dating scan yet? They can tell you then if there is more than 1.
I was in Maternity clothes at 3 months and everyone said i looked about 6 months preg, i have also been told you will be bigger after your 1st.
Maybe it is just because your insides are more relaxed after having 2 children?
Speak to your midwife if you are concerned.

They say you show faster sooner w/each pregnancy. As for looking big then small, could be where and how the baby positions itself.
Ask your doc about your size. They may order an ultrasound. My friend's baby is measuring 4 weeks bigger than her due date. Could be the same with you.

It doesn't necessarily mean twins. It could just be that you have a lot of fluid surrounding your baby this time. It tends to be the case when you've already had a child. The looking huge could just be your baby coming to the front and you get smaller when he/she goes to the back.

Everyone is different. Some people show earlier than others. I once knew a girl that didn't really show until 8 months, and she practically ballooned over night.

My friend who has two kids told me that she showed immediately with her second. Her stomach ballooned out right away. Some women show right away with their second, third, etc pregnancy. Your body knows what's going on so everything starts expanding sooner than it normally does.
Other than that, maybe you're having twins?

possibly having twins? but I would voice your concern about it with your doctor. I was also very big when I was pregnant the first time and the last few weeks before my due date my doctor ordered another ultrasound which weighed my baby at over 10lbs. (he was 8lbs 12oz when born), and it also said that I had to much amniotic fluid which is dangerous to the baby, so she induced me at 35 weeks. My Uterus at that time was over 42centimeters.
