Almost everybody who loves films can mimic a few lines of dialogue from movies, in the voice of the character. My friends and I enjoy sprinkling conversations with lines from favorite films. Hey, hasn't everybody mimicked Ripley from Alien at least once: "Get away from her, you b*tch"? I do several impressions -- everything from Frau Blücher in Young Frankenstein ("He vaz my boyfriend!" to Margaret White (Piper Laurie) in Carrie: "I smelled the whiskey on his breath... He took me, with the stink of filthy roadhouse whiskey on his breath, and I liked it. I liked it!"
So 'fess up: who can YOU do an impression of, and from which film?
"Hail to the king, baby!" (~Ash)

Oh I just love to do Bette Davis in Now Voyager..the famous last line...Let's not ask for the moon, we already have the stars!" OR..Carole Burnett doing Eunice. In my younger years I could do Liza Minelli in Cabaret but alas, have gotten to old for that..but then so has she..LOL

attempting to emulate somebody else's artwork is a super catch for an actor. Conversely, do no longer watch yet another actor and think of, "i visit do some thing thoroughly distinctive with the functionality." attempt to evade gazing the previous performer's handle a area if attainable. have you ever seen a play the place the actors gave the impact of they have been imitating the actors from the action picture version? It in basic terms feels like a diminished imitation. On soaps, they oftentimes attempt to hire recasts equivalent to the predecessor to assist the objective audience have self assurance the swap. An actor could do maximum suitable to learn the script for clues into the character's features, hear to the director, and attempt to create some thing unique.

The only character I ever imitate is Robert Duvall’s surfing officer Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore
from apocalypse now.
Sometimes when I’m around someone who thinks that war is ever a good idea, or I am listening to some neo-conservative war hawk talk about spreading so-called democracy by force, I quote the line from the part where they are blowing up the coastal village so they can surf.
“ I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smells like ---------------victory”.
It just seems to sum it all up so perfectly. It points out the obviously insanity and arrogance of putting the lives of innocent people in danger, so you can enforce your silly ideas of propriety on them.
I think It’s actually a response to the sadness that I feel that anyone could be so fear based in their thinking that the well-being of others is seen as being secondary to their own.
Love and blessings.

Um...I wouldn't really say I do an impression, but the line 'Damn the man - save the Empire!' from Empire Records is always finding its way out of my mouth. Or if someone says 'dammit' I immediately follow up with 'Janet' (Rocky Horror Picture Show)

I like this one:
"I BE BACK!" from "T II — Judgment Day" ... and when I walk
through the office like Big Arnie, my colleagues just die laughing....
But I also like serious stuff like "Cyranno" or "Hamlet" — but those
lines are not easy to replay ....
Or "The Bride Of Frankenstein" when the
monster comes in to the
castle of Victor Frankenstein ..."Must do it!"
