so is that
a. Payable without conditions
b.payable for a specific, fixed, amount of money
c. payable on demand or at a definite time
d. in writing and signed by the isssuer.

An argument could be made that 'when he finishes' renders the 'definite time' requirement moot, but that condition could still be met with 'on demand.' Based on that, the answer would be 'a' since a condition has been added.

1. The promise or order to pay must be unconditional;
2. The payment must be in a specific sum of money, although interest may be added to the sum;
3. The payment must be made on demand or at a definite time;
4. The instrument must be payable to bearer or to order.
