Worm holes are often termed as Time travel portals and this a fiction NOT real... we dont have the required proofs..

Much of the science of things on wormholes...which is what the "Stargate" series is based on...is already being worked. The problem is that it's all theoretical. The way we truly understand wormholes is that the forces involved would literally rip you to shreds rather than transport you. To that respect...all of these theories exist in a feild referred to as High Energy Physics. The amounts of energy that it takes for these to occur in nature is unimmaginable. Creating those same forces here on earth in a stable environment is unfortunately centuries out of our control. The best that we can hopefor in the next several years is for people to get motivated towards the idea of travelling to other planets. Right now most people look at our solar system and see alot of uninhabitable planets. The closest to habitable is Mars and the financial feesability for that is almost ridiculus! However...i think that if we were to find a planet that was earthlike...with water, vegetation...we might actually see our space travel technology ramp up in a way that we haven't seen since the space race when we put a man on the moon.

WOW. Having issues with a certain somebody? And aren't you going a bit far with the whole "Get thee behind me Satan" thing? Pretty sure he/she isn't satan. Calm down there Sparky. If he/she is really giving you that many problems, why not report them instead of using bible scripture to ward off your everyday moron? Kinda makes you seem a little crazy.... which brings me to your question.... um, we aren't ever going to have Star Gate Portals or Time Travel of any kind. Stop watching so many Sci-Fi shows. I would say if mankid can find a way to unite in the future and resources are available and currenty history does not get destoryed, probably a good 250-500 years.
