How to convert cassettes to CD thru a laptop? My laptop only has Mike and Phone slot, no "line in".

When I burned a CD using mike or phone slot, the recording was poor. I know desktops have line in slot. Is there a way to burn a cd from a cassette using laptop?

Plug the cassette player's lineout into the computer's microphone in, and make sure the microphone is selected as the source for recording through the volume control's options \ properties \ recording settings.

use the Mike jack.
