I am 34 weeks just like you are and my lower back pain has increased recently. It's especially hard to turn over in bed at night or get out of bed. I'm carrying mine "small and low" and so I think this is contributing to the aggravation on my lower back.
For relief, I get on my hands and knees and stretch my back up like a camel and then down like a cat. Whenever I do these before I go to sleep it helps, but nothing will make it go away totally, except delivering this baby in a few weeks!
I would not worry at all that you are going into labor unless your back pain is accompanied by other reliable signs like bloody show or contractions that increase in intensity and do not go away.
Hang in there, honey. We're just a few weeks away!
This is my third baby.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and I have the same thing. The doctor told me as long as the pain doesn't come at regular intervals like contractions, then it's just pain caused by the pressure the baby is putting on that area. It really depends on where you are carrying the baby (low, high). It will get better in a few weeks!

If you're 34 weeks pregnant, you're probably pretty big by now and there is a lot of weight and pressure on your lower back. If you know it's just your back that's in pain, check out the link below. It can help you pinpoint what kind of pain it is and what to do about it. If you're still not sure what it is after reading this, go to your doctor.

I had the same problem and found out my son's head was pushed against my spine...so basically the back of his head was putting pressure against my spine.....it would cause the worst pain.....and after he was born, he had red marks on his head.....like birth marks down the back of his head..I'm guessing from pushing on my spine!
The best answer I found....get a yoga ball...I know you are going to think I'm crazy...but it really works! Sit on a yoga ball and bounce and rock side to side.....it relieves the pressure and will make you feel so much better! For the last couple months of my pregnancy, it was all I could sit on without having pain! Walmart has one for about $12...not too bad and it works great...then after baby is born you can use it to excerise!

it could be diffrent things from bladder to just pains from carrying the baby. I have back pains as well and I am only 8 weeks and the doctor told me that everything was fine I was just stressing over it! Relax or go to your doctor!

It could be just the position your baby is in, pushing on that area, or it could be early signs of labor. Doesn't necessarily mean the baby is coming right now, could be a couple weeks even if that is the case.

Its called your body getting ready for labour. The baby is running out of room, therefore it could be pressing on something inside that is making your back hurt

Pregnancy!
Your stomach gets bigger, and it puts more pressure on your lower back. Some days it's horrible, others not so bad.
Watch your posture, stretch your back (cat stretches help) and rest when you can.
