Me too. We had storms here Saturday and it was like this and now this morning. Just got emails from two of my friends and they are having the same prob. I think it is a Yahoo prob.

Everyone has problems with Yahoo! Messenger at some point. Any software program, especially free ones, can easily get a currupt file which will cause all types of problems with fuctionality and even lose of use completely.
The best advice I can give you is to remove this instance of Yahoo! Messenger from your system, then download and install a new instance. This has fixed my problems each time I experiace trouble with a software program and especially Yahoo! Messenger.
Note: once I was asked here which messenger I liked better Yahoo or Windows LIve (MSN). I gave reasons for likeing each one and a few illistrations of not likeing one or the other, finishing with saying how it would be great is the features of each were combinded into one messenger. Well, I have changed my mind. Ihave had many problems with malfunctioning Yahoo! Messenger, having to remove it and re-install another one. I have not once had such problems with Windows Live (MSN). So, ,which is better? Windows Live (MSN). Hands down.

I'm having trouble getting into yahoo chat rooms. Aside from that, the instant messenger is just fine.

How about going out & meeting real people instead of being on Messenger 24 hours a day? Get a life.

Looks like lot of people are having this problem - I did have it too. And it is not continous, keeps in and out - loads of troubles.

Me too, it has its own mind now!
keeps signing out and back in, and sometimes I can't log in for 30 minutes..
