Seems to me like there was a great love story of beautiful girl and baseball hero, a celebrated wedding and then shortly a divorce because Johnny found out she had once been a $2000 a night callgirl. Is this a true story? Any details about names, dates of wedding, divorce, or sources for reading info on this?

Bench's first wife was Vickie Chesser, a model and former Miss USA runner-up. I can't find anything that says she was a prostitute.

No idea, but good on him for dumping the f:lthy ho.
She should have told him before the marriage, then he could have dealt with it as opposed to being suddenly overwhelmed by it after having given up his life (getting married)
