If mastic is the gummy stuff left behind, there are products on the market...Goo Gone and others that are made just for that. They're inexpensive and take off lots of lifes little problems. It is well worth keeping the product on hand.

Go to the hardware store and ask for a product called "Goo Gone". That should take care of your problem.

Goo Gone doesn't work,,trust me,,,What you need is,, goof off,,this is great to have around the house for almost anything..it does stink so you will need to open a window,
