This is a Yahoo! Customer Support question. If you are having problems with the functionality of a web based mail program you have to contact customer serice. This is not something fixable by the average joe. You see, this is not really a program installed on your system, but a web based HTML and XML web site configured and developed soley by the Corperation which built it. It is run by web servers and the mail is provided via the mail server and it is embedded with code and all type of other web items.

As this is not in your personal system, the troubles need to be fixed via the creater. In this case that would be Yahoo!

If this was a program on your system, like Yahoo! Messenger, you would have some options to work on problems it develops. You could remove it and download and install a new instance. Sometimes program files get currupt which causes various problems in functionality and loss of features if not complete failare of the program. Which is most usually corrected by removing the "broken" program and installing a fresh instance.

Contact customer service by going to the help page. At the botton of the page should be an option to e-mail customer service. provide all information requested and then wait a day or two for a response which will come via e-mail. Sometimes in serious issues Yahoo will phone with assistance, but this is rare. Just be patient and follow whatever directions given when a response comes. Yahoo usually responds within a day.

Good luck and I hope you get your mail account up and working properly as soon as possible. I know how irritatting it is to work with a program every day and then have it lose functionality. What a bummer!!

You can do it in:
Mozilla Fire Fox and
Opera

I suggest Fire Fox. It is better at controlling size of the display better.
You can also tweak IE options about font, size and color. Definitely you can do something you like.

Check to see if the setting for mail format is set to "Plain Text" or "HTML". With Plain text, you cannot change anything, it needs to be on HTML format. You should find this option above the box when composing a message.
